Financial Preparedness and Literacy
We believe in the critical importance of financial literacy. We fund programs that not only provide assistance but also promote independence and well-being for individuals and small businesses that lack access to information, resources and related services.
We support initiatives and programs that promote good health and preventative care. We focus on programs that help individuals and families cope with chronic health issues as well as programs dedicated to physical or mental disabilities (congenital or acquired), covering impairments, activity limitations and participation restrictions.
Education and Continuous Learning
In addition to the financial literacy programs, we emphasize education in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) programs.
Global Payments has a longstanding commitment to helping people affected by major natural disasters and humanitarian crises. In these difficult times, we work with our humanitarian response partners to direct funds to the people and places in greatest need.
The Amgen Foundation seeks to advance excellence in science education to inspire the next generation of innovators, and invest in strengthening communities where Amgen staff members live and work. The Amgen Foundation carefully considers each grant application it receives, seeking out diverse organizations whose philosophies, objectives and approaches align with the Foundation goals and mission.
The Foundation awards grants to local, regional, and international nonprofit organizations that are replicable, scalable and designed to have a lasting and meaningful effect in our communities. Grants should reflect Amgen's dedication to impacting lives in inspiring and innovative ways. Amgen Foundation grants range from $10,000 to multi-million dollar commitments.
The Amgen Foundation has established grant-making partnerships with qualified intermediary partners to manage donations to organizations chartered in Europe.
Each year, the Foundation receives hundreds of grant proposals. While it is not possible for every organization to receive funding, those that are in alignment with the Foundation's guidelines and programmatic vision outlined below are given careful consideration. We welcome your ideas.
The Foundation is committed to raising the value of science literacy on a national and local level. The areas given priority consideration within science education are:
- Teacher quality and professional development in math and science: Comprehensive programs that enhance the quality of math and science teachers entering the classroom, and support teachers with meaningful professional-development opportunities that have a positive impact on student achievement
- Pivotal hands-on science experience: Support programs that provide students and teachers with opportunities for hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that significantly impact students' excitement about science and scientific careers
Colocation America proudly supports the development and integration of STEM learning opportunities for youth in the communities we serve. One of the ways we support these activities is by funding innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) youth programs. Youth organizations and K-12 educators with STEM programming may apply and be awarded upwards of $7,500 for their new or reoccurring program.
Purpose of Grant
The STEM Innovation Grant was created to fund programs that inspire and encourage K-12 students to pursue their interest and curiosity in STEM.
Our STEM Grant Selection Committee is looking to fund programs or projects that offer students:
- An innovative (i.e. unique) approach to learning STEM
- Developmentally-appropriate STEM curriculum and/or resources
- Activities that support a real-life application of STEM knowledge
We support funding innovative pilot programs as well as long-proven STEM programs around the U.S.
For the 2022 Grant Cycle, we have changed it up so check it out:
- 5 grants will be chosen and awarded by 5 different Colocation America Staff Members. Each of these Staff Members will have $1,500 to award to their organization of choice.
- In addition, the STEM Grant Committee Member will award 4-10 grants ($2,000 - $7,500 per a project).
Funds awarded through the grant may be used to in the following ways:
- Stipends for Staff
- Field trips
- Travel expenses (e.g. buses)
- Curriculum Development and/or Curriculum Purchase
- Professional Development

It is the aim at Honda that in every community in which it does business society will want Honda to exist.
Help meet the needs of American society in the areas of youth and scientific education by awarding grants to nonprofits, while strategically assisting communities in deriving long-term benefits.
The American Honda Foundation engages in grant making that reflects the basic tenets, beliefs and philosophies of Honda companies, which are characterized by the following qualities: imaginative, creative, youthful, forward-thinking, scientific, humanistic and innovative. We support youth education with a specific focus on the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects in addition to the environment.
